Weekly Schedule

Here is the schedule for all levels for the next two weeks:
 

Monday, April 29th

  • Current 9th - 11th Graders: Offensive Practice from 6:15 pm to 7:25 pm.

  • Incoming freshmen/current 8th graders: Nothing.

 

Tuesday, April 30th

  • Current 9th - 11th Graders: Weights after school from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Parent meeting ONLY for defensive backs and their parents from 6:30 - 7:30 pm in the Tiger Den

  • Incoming freshmen/current 8th graders: Nothing.


Wednesday, May 1st

  • Current 9th - 11th Graders: Morning Install from 6:15 am to 7:25 am in the portables

  • Incoming freshmen/current 8th graders: Lift Camp from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Students should arrive on the south side of the building near the Gymnasiums.


Thursday, May 2nd

  • Current 9th-11th Graders: Weights after school from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Defensive practice from 6:15 pm to 7:25 pm

  • Incoming freshmen/current 8th graders: Nothing


Friday, May 3rd:

Weekly Update 4/21/2024

All Players should complete and email their player contracts for the 2024 season to Coach Giger (giger_jeffrey@svvsd.org) ASAP.

Players need to respond to the poll questions on Band regarding T-shirt size, compression shirt size, short size, and travel top size right away.

Weekly Update 11/21/2022

The EHS Tigers won their quarterfinal game against #3 Ponderosa 43-25 with by scoring 35 unanswered points in the second half.  The Tigers will play Broomfield in the Class 4A semifinals next Saturday at 1:00pm in Broomfield.

  • Monday: Meetings in the Tiger Den from 2:30 to 3:00pm.  Practice from 3:00 to 5:00pm.

Weekly Update 11/14/2022

The EHS Tigers won their second-round game against #6 Denver South 35-10 and have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Class 4A Playoffs.  EHS will again be the road team against Ponderosa High School on Saturday at 1:00pm in Parker.

We have a lot going on this week.  In addition to having our normal practice schedule, we also have our Topgolf Fundraiser on Tuesday and our team barbecue on Saturday.  The link to the sign-up sheet for Saturday's Barbecue is provided below.  If you plan on attending, please fill it out so we know how many people will be attending!

July 7, 2022 Update

  • Off-season workouts resume July 11 at 6:00am for varsity and junior varsity players.  We'll be on the field first on Mondays and Wednesday and in the weight room first on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

  • Off-season workouts resume July 11 at 8:00am for incoming freshmen

  • Only a couple of weeks until the Third Annual TopGolf fundraiser on July 26 from 6:00-9:00pm.  Get your group of six registered for $540 or an individual participant for $100.

This Friday will be Senior night, so Senior parents should arrive at the school at 6:15 (Senior night begins at 6:30).  If Senior parents could remind their athletes to fill out their Senior Scripts by Tuesday that would be greatly appreciated!

Weekly Update (11/1/21)

The Varsity team completed the regular season undefeated as league champions with a 10-0 record and was given a #5 seed for the playoffs.  The varsity will have a first round by and then host the winner of the Brighton vs. Fruita Monument game.  Date and time of our first playoff game is TBD.

The Freshmen team completed their season undefeated with a perfect 10-0 record.  That means the freshman were league champions and also defeated at least two JV teams in those ten victories.  Congratulations!

  • Friday: The players on the travel roster will be released from school at 12:40pm.  The bus will depart from EHS at 1:00pm.  Then the VARSITY game will start at 4:00pm. The boys will be playing Bear Creek at Jeffco Stadium (500 Kipling St, Lakewood, CO 80226).

  • Saturday: The JV will have a home game against Bear Creek at 11:00am; would any parents be interested in filming the JV games and working as a chain crew?

Schedule Change

The C team was scheduled to play against Pueblo East on Friday afternoon.  Pueblo East does not have enough players for a C Team game.  The C team will now play at Severance High School on Saturday (9/4/21) at 9:00am.  The schedule has been updated with the new date, time, and location.  

Weekly Update (8/29/21)

Thanks for a great first weekend of the 2021-2022 EHS Tiger Football Season! Here is the schedule for upcoming week:

The Varsity and Junior Varsity will practice Monday-Thursday from 3:40 - 5:30pm.
The Freshmen will practice from 3:05 - 4:30pm on Monday and Thursday and from 3:05 to 5:00pm on Tuesday and Wednesday.


The Freshmen will have a HOME game this Friday at 3:30 pm against Pueblo East.


The Varsity will have their FIRST HOME GAME!!! This Friday at 7:00 pm.  The game is against Pueblo East.  Help pack Tiger Stadium to support our team, cheerleaders, poms, and marching band!


The JV has a road game against Pueblo East this Saturday at 11:00 am.  We will give you an update on departure times as well as the location of the game as soon as possible.

There are a few additional events this week that of which Tiger football families should be aware.  On Monday (August 30th) the EHS athletic department is hosting the Briggs Street Bash.  This event will go from 5:15 to 8:00pm on Briggs Street in downtown Erie.  The football team will have a table set up in order to participate in the event, so feel free to stop by.  Additionally, if any of you have Cornhole tables that you would be willing to lend to us for the evening, that would be greatly appreciated! 

​

Finally, we plan on doing weekly team meals every Thursday at 5:30.  Last Thursday's lasagna meal was wonderful!! So thank you to everyone who help cook, serve, and participate! 

Briggs Street Bash

An annual tradition, Erie Olde Town’s main drag fills with student-athletes and community members to kick off the new school year and the athletic excitement that accompanies it. In the past, Erie’s best proprietors have provided their wares to the masses as a fundraiser for Erie High School Athletics.

​

When the pandemic came to town Erie’s small businesses and family-owned and operated restaurants were hit hard. It is Erie High School’s goal to turn this year’s focus to the very businesses which have helped us in the past…because ERIE TAKES CARE OF ITS OWN!

​

This year’s kickoff celebration will feature all of the traditional games for kids of all ages, food and drink, celebration and music with the intention of bringing the Erie community back to Olde Town to support those important businesses.

​

Come celebrate the kickoff of athletics for the 2021-22 athletic year and meet the athletic stars of tomorrow and enjoy some of Erie’s best food and drink from 6 – 9pm on August 30th!

Tickets for Hinkley Game

Hinkley High School will not be selling tickets at the gate for the game on August 27, 2021.  You must purchase tickets in advance through the Ticket Spicket website.

Sock Scrimmage

The first ever Sock Scrimmage against Golden High School on August 27, 2021 was a resounding success.  The EHS Football team asked family and friends attending the scrimmage to donate a pair or pack of new socks to Erie Uplink for their Tiger Packs program.  Erie Uplink distributes Tiger Packs to students at 8 Erie partner schools to help fill basic needs of students from Pre-K through high school.  

​

Volunteers at EHS' Tiger Stadium collected an amazing 2,322 pairs of new socks during the scrimmage.  Erie is a special community and the generosity of the EHS Football family and fans will help support the needs of Erie students.  Thank you, Erie!
